Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ordering, delivery, setup, payment and caring for your party rentals.
Placing an order
What is required to place an order?
You will be asked for your name, address, phone number, a valid drivers’ license or other government issued photo identification, and a major credit card. Additional forms of identification may also be requested. If you do not have a major credit card, a cash deposit equal to the replacement cost of the equipment will be collected. The cash deposit will be refunded upon the timely return of all products in the same condition as they were received.
How far in advance should I place my order?
Advanced reservations are recommended to ensure availability. We recommend placing your reservation at least two weeks prior to the date of your event. However, you may place your order one day in advance or up to one year in advance. In the party rental business, it’s first come, first served.
When and how do I pay?
We require a 50% deposit one week before your party. The balance is due on delivery, in cash or by credit card. No checks on delivery. Equipment shall not be considered reserved until the rental agreement is signed and the deposit received. The deposit is transferable to another date, but if you cancel within 48 hours of your party you lose your deposit.
What if I’m having my party in a park?
You are responsible for obtaining a park permit, if one is needed. We offer all day rentals with pickup no later than 6 p.m. during daylight savings time, or 5 p.m. standard time. Our generators have enough gas to run your inflatable for about 4 hours, so if you’d like a longer party, please bring some extra gas in a can.
Doesn’t the City of Glendale have specific requirements?
Yes, it does. Please contact us for the specific requirements and pricing.
Does Party Pronto have insurance?
We carry a $2-million dollar liability policy as well as workman’s comp insurance for our employees. The people who deliver your party equipment drive a truck that we own and insure. Should you need an Additional Insured Certificate, we can provide one, though there may be a cost associated with it. We are fully licensed and insured with the City and County of Los Angeles, as well as Arcadia, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Brea, Burbank, Carson, Cerritos, Chino, Commerce, Compton, Corona, Culver City, Diamond Bar, Downey, El Segundo, Fontana, Gardena, Glendale, Harbor City, Hawthorne, Irwindale, La Habra, La Verne, Lawndale, Long Beach, Montebello, Ontario, Paramount, Pasadena, Pico Rivera, Pomona, Rancho Cucamonga, Rowland Heights, San Dimas, San Marino, Santa Fe Dam, Santa Fe Springs, Sierra Madre, Signal Hill, South El Monte, Torrance, Upland, West Covina, Whittier Narrows and West Hollywood. If you don’t see your community listed here, please call us so we can add it. We are also listed as a preferred provider with the California State PTA.
What happens if it rains?
We deliver rain or shine. The client may reschedule with 48 hours notice. The client is liable for payment in full for cancellations or partial cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event. Deposits are non-refundable, but they are transferable to another date.
Is tax charged on my order?
There is no tax on rental items or service fees. However, tax is charged on party supplies, such as piñatas.
Can I make changes to my order after it has been placed?
Final counts are due 48 hours before your event. Reductions made with less than 48 hours notice may be subject to a 50–75% restocking fee. Additions made with less than 48 hours notice are treated as a new order and must meet all delivery requirements. If you cancel your party giving us less than 48 hours notice, you will lose your 50% deposit.
Delivery & Pickup
Can I pick up my rental items?
Yes. There is no minimum for will call orders. If you plan to pick up the items yourself, please be sure that all items fit safely inside your vehicle.
Will your drivers set up and take down the equipment?
Party Pronto will set up and take down canopies, inflatables, margarita machines and dance floors. All other equipment, such as tables, chairs, linens and glassware, is set up and taken down by the client. If you would like us to provide set-up and take-down services for tables and chairs, we charge an additional fee. These arrangements must be made prior to delivery and pick-up.
Is there a minimum for delivery?
Our delivery minimum is $150.00 plus a delivery and pickup fee for the San Gabriel Valley. Areas outside the San Gabriel Valley must call for a quotation. The minimum order for items delivered to a park is $409.00 plus a delivery and pickup fee. Other charges may apply for limited access such as stairs, narrow entries or long driveways, as well as for timed delivery and after-hours delivery. Please ask your party planner for details.
Cleaning & Damages
What happens if items are damaged or lost?
Responsibility for the equipment remains with the customer from the time of receipt until the time of return. Please be sure the equipment is secured when not in use and protected from the weather. The customer will be charged the replacement cost for damaged or missing items.
What should I do with glassware, china and tableware before returning them?
Please scrape and rinse these items, and place them in the containers in which they were issued. A cleaning fee of 25% or $75, whichever is greater, will be charged for all items returned without being rinsed.
What should I do with linens before returning them?
Please shake the linens free of food and confetti and inspect them for damage. Please do not place linens in plastic bags, as this may lead to mildew and they may be accidentally thrown away. You will pay the replacement cost for lost or damaged items.
